For decades RosnyStock has been a highlight of the Rosny College music calendar. It is a chance for our bands and acoustic acts to take the stage and perform to an audience of peers, family and the broader community. It is also an opportunity for students from our Live Production class to demonstrate their lighting and sound production skills.

RosnyStock provides an authentic, real-world learning experience for all involved. The process of preparing for and executing a live music concert is multi-faceted and develops skills to work in the live music industry.

This year saw the return to an external live music venue, with the event being held at Altar bar in Hobart. A panel of music industry judges (Joe Stone from Baby Dave, music producer Cody Webberly, and Alex Buktenika from The Tinderboxers/Big Sis Booking agency) selected four acts from RosnyStock to represent Rosny College at the Tasmanian Rock Challenge.

The southern heat of the Tasmanian Rock Challenge will be held at Altar bar on the 6^th of September at 6pm.
